I got a couple of hundred pomegranates free...yes, free. There is an orchard of them completely going to waste and the owner is giving them away. Day before yesterday, I got a whole bushel of Fuji persimmons and yesterday a whole bushel of pear persimmons (for baking)...all free. I have been cleaning the poms down to seeds and drying them on sheets, then will freeze them in sandwich size zip locks for the year. They are a great frozen snack or may be tossed into a jillion recipes for a little zip in your day. I was thinking while I have been cleaning the poms how when I was young, this would have been too much work for me. I have often wondered why we are born young and die old and here of late, I have figured some things out. When years ago, I would not have cleaned the poms because it was too much work...now, I am thrilled that I am able to clean them. My perspective has changed so very much with time on so many things...maybe. Even everything. To say that I no longer care about small unimportant things like gossip, challenges, and acquisitions would be an understatement. Now I welcome them and am utterly thrilled that I till have the cacacity to meet them, solve them, do them. Thanks Universe for the light you provide.
