I got a few main issues: 1. Installed a Badass II Bridge and set the action to my liking. BUt, the E-string saddle is already lowered to the bridge and when it does, the strings hit the magnetic poles on the neck pickup which causes some unwanted noise. I tried raising it but the slope from the E to the G string is insanely steep. Do I have a gooched Badass or do all of these have this issue? I bought the bridge from someone who took apart a CIJ Geddy :O and was selling the parts separately...except the neck *scowl. 2. I thought jazz bass pickups were supposed to be hum cancelling? Im getting so much buzzing and feedback from these when BOTH pickups are on full volume. Should I try switching the pickups around? 3. All jazz basses Ive tested this little experiment on had the same result; whenever I pushed on the pickups, it would bounce and return to normal position because of the foam piece underneath it. Well for my jazz bass, the pickups are as stiff as a rock; they wont move and the screws, when I tried to unscrew them, became stripped and useless. Im planning on replacing them with CS60s but I cant DO that if I cant remove these old ones first. I cant even unscrew them to check if the foam is dried up or not... I want to avoid getting it professionally looked at if I can avoid it, especially if the problems are DIY household tips.. Anyone have any advice or suggestions?
