I got a new roof yesterday. Six men arrived at 11 am and worked until 9 pm almost without stopping. My house is high and the roof is steep. Heavy, back-breaking work. I respect and admire the workers and am grateful. I think its also important to share that these guys are immigrants, if not living the American dream, at least able to provide for their families. Fourth of July weekend. Incredible work ethic. They left my house impeccable. I shook the hand of each of them and said thank you. The last one said, thanks for providing the work. Grateful to have met them. Grateful that they are here.
