I got a ride out to Hornings with Jackie Shaw. Not counting a construction delay on Pumpkin Ridge Road, which is being resurfaced, the trip took about 50 minutes from my place on the east side of Portland. The third photo is of Michael, with whom we talked for about ten minutes about the site and some of the policies. Some folks have already thought things will be more restrictive based on policies theyve read on the Hornings website. My impression in talking with Michael is that quite a bit is up to event organizers. Our Faerieworlds producers, Robert Gould, Emilio Miller-Lopez, and Kelly Miller-Lopez, will be working on ironing out details between now and September 15. Lets let them work things out with the Hornings people. I think well be pretty happy with the results. I think they worked very well with the Lane County Parks people at Mount Pisgah with very satisfactory results. I think theyll see to it that Faerieworlds at Hornings Hideout is a great experience for all. Overall, the site is not level, as youll see in the photos, but the footing isnt as rough as it is at Mount Pisgah, for the most part. Jackie and I agreed that the faeries are going to like it at Hornings. Theres so much more shade, although there are some sunny areas as well. I think faeries and friends will like the showers.
