I got a short break in the tour this week, thanks to a couple cancelled gigs. Thats always a bummer, but the 2 I still got for the week are gonna be awesome. Saturday, 8/30 Im up in Greeley CO for a Wounded Warriors benefit. Im honored to be asked to play for those folks and cant wait. (Details later in the week.) Friday night I have an off schedule stop in Manitou Springs at The Ancient Mariner to play one more show with my old band Creating a Newsense! (For those of you new to my music, I spent over 6 years in that band.) We formed in 2004 and played every nook and cranny of the great state of CO as well as toured the US during an always exciting and often tumultuous run. Those days help make me the performer I am today and those guys will forever be my brothers. In the last 3 or 4 years we have played exactly twice, never saying we broke up or calling it a last show. While we all maintain our friendship, this one WILL be the last time we play a proper show. If all that wasnt enough to stir the pot, we also found 14 songs, mostly finished, that we recorded between 2008-09 at Royal Recording in Colorado Springs. Its the unreleased half of an abandoned double album that we are releasing FREE for online download the night of the show. It will be a great heap of fun friends and I truly hope you can make it out, especially if you never got to see that band play. 100% pure excitement & this is the last chance to catch it...
