I got a text... Good Smiles: you are due for a check up and clean, would you like to make an appointment? Me: mmm sure why not, Can you take me this afternoon? Good Smiles: Yes! Me: Good I will see you soon. At the office I was led to the room by the nurse I had seen before. Nurse: have a seat Big Guy: gesturing me to open my mouth (he had a needle in his hand) Me: pulling back I said Who are you? Big Guy walked out of the room Nurse: oh I am sorry, that is our new dentist, Dr. Pool! Me: What happened to Dr. Pagel? Nurse: oh I am sorry, she doesnt work here anymore! Me: What is he doing with a needle in his hand, I thought we talked about check up and clean!? Nurse: oh I am sorry. Right but remember at the last appointment with Dr. Pagel, she suggested you have that tooth extracted. Me: Wait a minute... That was with Dr. Pagel. This is Dr. Pool and there was no mention about an extraction today! (AND THEN I HAD TO ADD THIS) And you think because I am Deaf you did not have to explain anything to me? Would you yourself walk in a room, having no idea that Drs switched and that you were going to have an extraction and not knowing or discussed about it blindly and he comes to you with a needle in his hand? Nurse: oh I am sorry. He is very nervous. He has never had a Deaf patient before. BUT he is a wonderful dentist! Big Guy walked in the room got behind me and started talking to me! Yes I need me my g-boys FIX Have a great weekend!
