I got an anonymous question today from someone who asked wrote in and said, I often find myself getting really upset about something someone one does and flying completely off the handle at times at the worst times. Is there something that I can do to stop myself from getting so angry. I just wish I didnt get so upset.. We all experience different emotions at different times for different reasons. Its important that we dont label any feelings that we experience as negative, bad or wrong and that we shift our focus from trying not to react/get upset (essentially control the way we feel) to focusing on learning how to process our emotions at a time and in a way that most honours ourselves and others involved. Ive worked with people who Ive who quite honestly I had to teach them how to release internalized, repress aggression, while with others Ive had to do quite the opposite. Remember you are unique so only someone whos working with you one on one can know exactly whats best for you. But in the meantime you can use this answer to help point you the direction that best serves you. When we are able to shift the way we see ourselves and the way we see our emotions, from one of being ashamed, frustrated and fed up with our emotions to instead being thankful, curious and open, the part of us that feels the need to react requires very little attention... Instead love demands our attention and steps in to handle the matter in a way that is most honouring to ourselves and those around. In this short video answer I share with you how can talk to yourself in those moments when you get really pissed and youre looking for a way to honour your feelings in the moment without having to process them right away. Remember it requires little strength to ignore, bottle, run from your feelings or tell people off. People do that every day... Strength lies in being able to feel your emotions completely without letting your ego take over or numb you. Hope this answered the question. Xo R #SelfLove #MDWW #Empath
