I got an earful of shit again today. I was told again that I need to learn Georgian. My response was no I dont. Their logic was that I am in Georgia. My logic was that it is only good in this small country. When you go to university here, the substantial studies are done in English or Russian. If you find a subject that is taught only in the local language, you will never find that high paying job that you have dreamed of. You will be stuck in Georgia and earn only a couple hundred dollars every month. Many international employers will not even consider employing a Georgian because for many decades, you could buy your education documents and sometimes never attend the school. This was still happening last year. I do ok without functional Georgian. We trade pleasantries. The rest is business. Georgians even confuse each other with the language having 15 dialects in an area less than size of the state of Rhode Island. It would be like every neighborhood in Los Angeles speaking a different language. Who wants to be a leader of the army of ants? I dont have a problem with the people, just the language. Next time you are disheartened with your life, question the language you know
