I got called in twice last night, at eight and again at midnight, and tonight I am going to sit out on the balcony and watch the sun set, and read medieval herbals. Apparently, if you want to know if your partner is cheating on you, you put a magnet under his/her pillow. If (say) she is faithful, she will embrace you, and if she is unfaithful, the magnet will fling her out of bed. Also, if you scatter powdered magnets on the fire, everyone asleep in the house will immediately rise up and, still asleep, run out of the house.
