I got in a cleaning mood this morning. As I was on my rampage, I thought to myself that there was a time when people would ask, “What’s your favorite scent?” I’d say some expensive perfume, or something artistic… But, now that I’m older, it’s: 1. The smell of garlic and onions hitting a pot of hot olive oil. I know that something great is getting ready to happen. 2. The smell of baking bread. It takes me back to my mother and Sunday nights in Trinidad. 3. The smell of a freshly cut Christmas Tree. 4. Coffee and sizzling bacon.
