I got into a debate last night on a groups thread when I noticed a woman spouted off saying she was scared to death because her FRIEND saw a Muslim lady, who was in full kevlar (it was actually a hijab), video taping a scene in Arlington where there was a disturbance in which she says the FBI was involved. That thread made me so angry on so many levels. We all video tape things, wrecks, police encounters, fires, etc so just because she is a Muslim woman, doesnt mean she is up to no good. Saying she was wearing full kevlar (you cant tell its kevlar unless you are up close to actually SEE it) when she was wearing a hijab is a flat out lie meant to spread fear! You know what scares me to death? The hateful, spiteful, hypocritical people of this world who because of actions of others, of extremists that are blasted all over the media, jump at the assumption over every little thing that someone of another religion or race does! Hitler killed thousands during the holocaust, does that mean all Germans are evil cruel murderers? Dont forget that our founding fathers slaughtered American Indians for this land by thousands, does that make us, the decedents evil murderers? Oh and lets not for get the Crusades that were sanctioned by the Latin Roman Catholic Church that in turned killed hundreds of thousands Jews and others who did not follow the same religious belief. Does that mean all Catholics are evil murderers. Westboro Baptist Church is a horrible group of Christians who disrespect out soldiers, who insult and picket funerals and with death and destruction to those who have different beliefs that dont fir their own, does that mean all Baptists are evil? I could keep going on! None of these groups continue to be persecuted because of the actions of extremists in the group. Yes Isis, the Taliban, AL-Quaeda are groups that do horrible things to people who disagree on a the religious stance they take with their faith, but it doesnt mean that everyone with a black beard, who wears a hijab, who prays to Allah (which is the word for God) is an evil Muslim who is going to kill you. I hope this short movie opens some eyes.
