I got into a taste testing at Redstone Liquor Store, Stoneham MA, - TopicsExpress

I got into a taste testing at Redstone Liquor Store, Stoneham MA, my favorite. I had Brocklemans Gin, made with 15 different fruits and berries. Quite remarkable, $33 a fifth, good alone but gets overpowered by lemonade. Tonic water does nothing for it. Im home testing my Glibeys Gin at $19 a handle (1.75 L) against Naticas Beefeater Gin at $30 a handle. I can scarcely tell the difference straight, and no difference in a gin gimlet. Still at the two samples. The grapefruit - lemon - tonic overpowers any little differences between the two. People at the store asked what I thought. I had to think for a while. Brocklemans is $5 away from real Scotch, Johnny Walker Black at $39 a fifth. Thats the real thing, diluted 1:1 with water from the creek, dipped with a gourd and measured out with a wooden spoon. There is a lot of action going on with Scotch, no matter where you live in the Scotch world of flavors and styles. A Scotch in the left hand turns a Burger into a Banquet. Im playing for a Masonic Installation tomorrow dressed in Scottish Frock, had a good time schmoozing with the Scottish bagpipers at the Shrine last night. I think Ill get a JW Black tomorrow. Oh, but wait, I already have JW Black to go with my Burger tonight. Mouse is having a 1.2 lb lobster. Good eating tonight. This Burger will be a Banquet, and its not all due to the Burger.
