I got my fourth stripe on my blue belt and on my way towards earning my purple belt. It has been a journey coming back to a sport that is so demanding, especially after having back and shoulder surgery. But at 61, I am driven to keep moving forward and train hard, improve my technique and get to the next level. Mason also got his promotion too and is on his way to getting a belt promotion soon. I am so proud of you, Mason! I want to thank Professor Philipe Della Monica, Professors Les, Jesse, Mike, Dave and Coaches Guy, Garrett and Ben for all of your guidance and support to both Mason and me. A big thank you also goes out to all of you that Mason and I are fortunate to train with. You are all awesome and an inspiration to us. We are both grateful to have the opportunity to learn the great martial art of Jiu Jitsu from all of you.
