I got on FB around 8 and now hours later, Im still here reading threads, looking at tagged threads, sharing SHARs fostered pets. Im a FB junkie, lol. This has to change. Im not getting other important things done. Im going to set a timer for my FB time starting tomorrow. It takes time to post and share SHARs fosters. Receiving hundreds of emails and tags daily makes it difficult to read all of them. I try to share many of your posts and believe we need to help each other as much as possible. Unfortunately, my dogs and fosters and home and real work are being neglected. I cancelled our adoption event this weekend for several reasons but partially because I need time to breathe and relax. Loading those 50 lb playpens and table and chairs and canopy and everything else is hard for this older woman to do. Thank goodness once at the event others help with the set up and take down. My husband is not able to lift much due to his back and retina problems. Safe Haven Animal Rescue - SHAR is pretty full right now. We honestly dont have the funds or fosters at this time to take in anymore. We have already offered to take in little abandoned Chihuahua. A nice lady has offered to help with her vetting. Another stray dog found in Fairfield might be joining SHAR also. SHAR doesnt have the funds at this time to vet her. If anyone wants to help with the upcoming vet bills for these two or some future puppies and dogs in need, please let me know. SHAR needs families to take puppies and dogs into their homes until they are adopted. I currently have 6 active, healthy 3 1/2 months old puppies in my home. I need help. If you live in Fairfield or Lakes of Fairhaven or other nearby subdivisions like Coles Crossing, Bridgeland or others in the vicinity, please consider fostering for SHAR. We can talk about whats involved and how you can help. If you cant foster, maybe you could make a donation to the vets office. SHAR vaccinates whenever possible in order to cut costs, but I still prefer all new intakes see the vet for an examination and tests and at least a rabies vaccination and eventual spay or neuter and micro chip. I love doing this work and helping Gods little puppies and dogs. Im looking for others who want to try fostering and donating their time and home to help needy puppies or dogs.
