I got some bad news this morning as I was let go for either not enough work or not enough experience?!? Although Im not going to let this slide at all. First point is, I worked 18 hours without a site safety orientation, no safety boots, no harness while working on a pitched roof, installing windows off a ladder instead of scaffolding... Endangerment or what! Valley Contracting knew very well that I had no safety boots but allowed me to continue working for 18 hours and without any safety orientation at all. Not once was told where the first aid or muster site was located. Looks like I have enough proof to shut down the whole project and fine the shit out all these assholes. According to WorkSafe BC regulations, the Cottages of the Lake project along with Valley Contracting put me in harms way and endangered my life...
