I got that dreaded call today, that told of yet another passing at the Holidays! Yes, God has called another Angel home, Ms Carol, an awesome lady that I had the pleasure to do home care for, for over a year, and to interact with at the center for 2 years! She loved playing the piano, she could play the accordion, she loved to sing, she loved her family, she loved her Deborah, but above all of that, she loved her God! She prayed for everybody!, She gave the best hugs, she had the sweetest smiles. She always asked about my family members by name, she prayed for each one of them. i got her all dressed up 2013 at Halloween, it was the 1st time in her life she had ever dressed up for Halloween... she loved it.. she loved that I brought her into work in my car... she loved that we walked in together... and you could hear a pin drop when people turned and looked at her! But then, when she took 1st place in the Halloween contest, she was beaming!!! She loved the attention she got all day long!! I took her home that day too! It was just a very special day!! But then, Ms Carol was a very special lady! I will miss her very much, she was much more than a patient, she was a friend, an extended family member, so as the tears fall, and my heart is crushed a little more, and I wonder out loud why these things always happen around the holidays. Not that anytime is a good time, but now is not good at all!! The family is setting a time up for me so that I can come by and say my goodbyes before she is cremated, and her ashes are shipped back home to Indiana. I love you Ms Carol, RIP there will never be no other like you!!
