I got to make a surprise cake today! I was contacted by one of my amazing clients who wanted to order her own birthday cake and gave me a few favorites (such as her love of rainbows!) but otherwise left the design up to me so she could be surprised...what an awesome idea and such a compliment to me that she trusts me! I ended up making a triple layer chocolate cake with espresso ganache filling, frosted in rainbow ombre vanilla buttercream with personality and characteristic traits this lovely lady has, piped all around the cake and topped with a fondant bow.
