I got to see Dad today at Rehab, took Mom over so we both visited. Hes doing well, hes behaving (meaning not trying to get out of bed by himself and doing everything they ask of him) hes crabby and grumpy and wants to go home. He tried to talk his way into leaving yesterday, but mom talked him into another week. He hasnt caught on to the fact that, one, according to mom, he really cant leave until his dr releases him. Two, he shouldnt leave until they have finished the things that help him. And three, we have the car and the car keys and he aint going nowhere anyway, until hes officially released. But were trying to keep him engaged and actively involved in his own recovery. Hes enjoying his classical music and we took him his Bible at his request, and I wrote out some passages for him to read - hes having trouble with insomnia, (always has) and thought hed read his Bible since he couldnt sleep. I told him hed either a. Finish the Bible in the next few weeks or b. the devil would make him sleepy ;) and either way it would be a win/win. He laughed a lot!
