I got to thinking about this whole New York style pizza versus the Chicago style deep dish and it occurred to me that every city cant have a pizza. Or can it? Spinellis claims Philly style pizza and Loui Louis claims to be Detroit style pizza. What would Louisville style pizza look like? Then it hit me: The Hot Brown is Louisville style pizza! Dont question me on this. Im right. After all, pizza is really nothing more than an open faced sandwich and the ultimate open faced sandwich is the Hot Brown. Im done. Im throwing caution to the wind and stating out loud that we need to make this a reality, and change the Hot Brown from this amazing regional dish that is quirky and different and mainstream that puppy to the iconic status of a full blown pizza style. #hotbrownslouisvillestylepizza
