I got to watch about an hour of this tonight. It was pretty good, I thought. It felt like the right kind of honor to be paying to teachers. It showed four teachers going through their year working hard to try and reach their students. I loved the dedication these teachers exhibited and appreciated the fact that the documentary was a step in the direction of putting a spotlight on teachers as important contributors to the learning and personal growth of their students. We need more positive attention given to our teachers--to raise them up as a kind of special contributor to our society and the future of our world. We need to demand and expect the kind of dedication and commitment in our teachers that this showed and then we need to reward them as the professionals they are with appropriate respect and monetary remuneration.
