I got up at 5 am to got to Ranstad Employment Services for a - TopicsExpress

I got up at 5 am to got to Ranstad Employment Services for a supposed interview with a employment recruiter to discuss my qualifications to determine if they had any suitable positions for me. This is not my understanding of why I went there . This is verbatim what Veronica the site manger told me about why I was being asked to interview there today. When I asked her via phone yesterday what the interview she emailed me about and asked me to attend would be about. So I get up at 5 am this morning because my appt was at 9:30 am this morning. This is how early I had to get up and be on the first leg of my journey to the office in Tempe from central phoenix where I live (by public transportation) since I do not have a car. So after two hours of travel time and a walk of almost a mile from Priest Dr. and Warner Rd.. Where I disembarked from the bus on my last leg of my journey I get too the office. Only to find out, it is not a personal interview but a job fair. I hate job fairs. Why? You might ask. Well, let me fill you in on that. Because generally speaking job fairs are where a company, like a temp service like Ranstad, or a group of companies, get together and determine they do not have any jobs right now but it sure would be nice for them to take a bunch of applications to put in their files, just in case that someday they may have some real jobs to fill. So for 99 percent of the people that go to a job fair it is a total waste of time. You would be correct to assume I was not a happy camper and was pissed because I was basically duped into believing it was going to be real interview about a real job. Thanks for nothing Veronica at Tempe Ranstad.. CM
