I grew up fishing from a very young age in South Africa. My family was obsessed with it and still is to this day. My dad Dries Coetzee took us every sunday to the vaal river where.my nan use to live. Catching anything that took a bait. Up till i was 16 I fished pretty much every weekend. From bloemhof dam, klerksdorp dam.. 16 ft rods and I felt. Like the king of casting. Lol. Me and my two brothers Andries Cornelius Coetzee and Simon Mayo fished alot even tho simon will deny it. But I miss them days. After a good break and moving to the uk the bug bit big time with me starting with beach casting and then buying my first argos set up for the carp And not looked back since... im sitting in the biv now listening to the rain. Reminiscing over the past and what I would give to sit on the river with my dad and 2 brothers again. Fishing brings back some great memories..
