I grew up in Warrior Run and remember going to a department store in the early 1970s, on Route 309 in Wilkes-Barre. I was about 3 or 4 years old. I believe it was either Arlans or Grants (now situate Kmart) that had a playroom where parents could leave their children while they shopped. I distinctly remember having a piece of masking tape with my name and parents name written and placed on my shirt. I was asking my husband (who also grew up in W-B) if he remembered this, but he does not. Anyone else recall this store? I also remember their price tags were little yellow squares.
