I grew up in a world where if something was reported on the BBC I just thought that as the BBC were unbiased then it had to be gospel, but unfortunately in recent years that has changed take this week they gave air time to the CBI conference but honed in on the CBI saying that if we withdrew from the EU we would all be £3000 a year worse off this is the same CBI who in 2000 said if we did not join the Euro we would be doomed. Today they have focused on the Nissan plant in Sunderland not the fact of how profitable it is or the fact that it is now turning out more cars than the whole of Italy they focused on the fact that if we leave the EU they might have too close the plant down as Nissan is part owned by Renault which is almost state owned then you can see where the fret comes from. I have heard nothing on the BBC this week about the missing £6 billion in the EU accounts or the fact that for the 19th year in succession they have failed to get the accounts signed off in the next few years you will get lots of scare stories but only by those that want to keep the gravy train going at our expense.
