I grew up next to a pond that had a water mocassin that had to be close to the record. He was about 6 long and very fierce looking. Arkansas has tons of these snakes. Super aggressive during certain times of the year and they will actually chase you. I like them because they are an easy lunch. I love the taste of them when cooked correctly. Will say that water snakes tend to not taste as good as land based snakes. Favorite way to cook these is to cut them into 1 medallions and simmer them in some olive oil and garlic. Then simmer in a stew for a couple of hours. Meat will suck right off the bones. Best way to eat it by far! outdoorhub/news/2013/07/22/video-worlds-largest-cottonmouth/
