I grew up watching him bat... Started loving cricket with the 2001 natwest series... Two incredible centuries hit by him... Got my 1st bat from a boost pack, because he said that boost was the secret of his energy Started worshiping him ever since I saw the mesmerising 98 he hit against Pakistan in the 2003 world cup... I was 10 then... And then, went back and watched the highlights and replays of each and every of his brilliant innings... Be it his 1st hundred against Australia, be it Sharjah, be it the 186 vs NZ; the more i saw, the more awestruck i was by the man, by the sheer level of his talent... Years kept passing, my knowledge in cricket grew, players came players went, but one man remained... I still remember and watching him hit the 200 against South Africa... My mom literally had to beg me to stop jumping when he scored that single, and as usual raised his bat and looked up at the sky... Still remember Ravi Shastris words And its the Superman from India... We won the World Cup in 2011, and saw the man cry... Saw the man cry today again... And I cried too... The child in me who fell in love with the game seeing him bat, the boy in me who wanted to hold the bat like him, wanted to straight drive just like him; the young man in me who has been saying the same line for a long time now, Soo many years and he still has the passion of a youngster... I cried... This sport, will never be the same again, not for me, not for anyone who loves this sport... Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, thankyou for giving me and my country memories for twenty four years that will stay with us till the day we take our last breaths... Thankyou for making us proud, for making us smile, for making us cry today... I will miss you... India will, the entire world will...
