I grew up while John Kennedy, John Glenn, and Martin Luther King - TopicsExpress

I grew up while John Kennedy, John Glenn, and Martin Luther King were ALIVE, and they were heroic, epic leaders in that day and age. Ronald Reagan, John Wayne, and Elvis walked the streets and beaches in California, and Marilyn Monroe and Gloria Steinem were just kids really, like Janis Joplin, and all of the Beatles. I loved them all and they shaped me into who I am today, so anyone who accuses me of being an ignorant and uneducated racist is just showing disrespect. I am a conservative and patriotic American, a Christian, and support the military past and present. I was surprised by the recent election, but not dismayed. This country is made up of people who still know how to hold civil discourse and I will not respond to anyone who is uncivil in his/her remarks. I have lived to see both givers TO and receivers FROM my hand. Liberal dreamers helped to form the very base of my optimism, so please allow me to carry on in the peace they espoused, and the freedom they provided.
