I grew up with a strong southern attitude and I never pass a person that I do not acknowledge. Last week at the grocery store I had so much fun at the check out lane that I just have to share it! Got there and put all the groceries on the lane and the lady in front got told that the debit card system was down and they could only process cash orders. Made the statement that was a problem as the intention was to use the debit card. The little elderly lady behind said...If they dont have cash...can I have their cantaloupe, looks like a good one! Response was No Way....staying right here for the duration! Poor clerk did things manually and we all got through the process. On top of my bags was bagged spinach and chopped lettuce. I knew I did not buy that so turned around and told the clerk.....the little lady behind said...you have my spinach and I am missing my vegetable oil! Responded...well that will teach you to try to get my cantaloupe! Clerk fixed it and we all left with our own stuff, but it sure was a fun time! Little lady laughed as hard as the rest of us!
