I guarantee if my son was 40 years old instead of 21 he wouldnt have to put up with half the shit he does....I dont know how he does it, because I would walk right off the field...and never come back. Volunteer coaching when you have a child on the team is one thing, but he has been in some sort of coaching capacity since he was a teenager for 4 different sports and has NO kids, doesnt drink, doesnt smoke, works out, goes to school full time, works from 11PM-4AM every Saturday night (after he spends his whole Saturday with YOUR child) protecting others and then devotes the rest of his time and attention from June-November coaching the children who live in and around our community. To be disrespected, tattled on, and otherwise made to look like a fool makes me so mad. When he comes home disappointed, heartbroken, and just absolutely defeated I ask him why on earth he goes back year after year...He said because he loves the game, he loves teaching the next generation and cares about his community enough to make sure they have a place to safely play for years to come. Think about that the next time you decide to act like theres an NFL scout in the stands vying for your Uber-talented super star 12 year old child who has barely entered puberty. Its called fun. Here let me spell it for you... F-U...I should stop there...
