I guess I am having a bit of a problem with semantics today. I just read a post that said Happy Veterans Day I can certainly appreciate giving thanks, honoring, grateful, etc, but Happy? Am I wrong in perceiving this as a lack of sensitivity and compassion? These men and women served with a signature that said to all of us, we are willing to give our lives for your freedoms. Happy is just too shallow a word to express any true sense of appreciation.
