I guess I need to offer an opinion here...Recently the Equity Foundation was approached by the Westmoreland Grocery people to donate 1000.00 as a peace offering of sorts for the their bigoted remarks concerning gay people. The ED of Equity put it before the board and the board decided to accept the donation. I think they let these folks off to cheap - way to cheap. My thinking is that these folks are making a big investment in West Moreland and they made a big mistake offering there personal opinions about gay people - even referring to them as pedophiles. They are Mormon and have every right to there beliefs... I just assume they would keep them private, they choose not too, so guess what, they pay the consequences. But letting them get off for 1000.00 is way to cheap. Equity Foundation is worth way more to me and Portland than this. I will gladly pay Equity 1000.00 to return the money. Groups return money all the time...Lets do it and move on! BD
