I guess the good folks at PJC just havent yet realized who I am - TopicsExpress

I guess the good folks at PJC just havent yet realized who I am and that I have a few requirements that are not being met. First of all, 8 a.m. classes. In all the years I was in business for myself, I very seldom had to be at work at 8. Do they not realize that a recently aged 60-year-old needs her beauty sleep? And going to bed at 9 p.m. has put a damper on my late-night FB postings. My second complaint is major. My station is just too small. We are required to have all kinds of tools and hair products and nail products and rollers and -- well, you all know what all is necessary in a salon -- and why they made that little table at my station so narrow is beyond all comprehension. That tiny compact space is just not roomy enough for a fat girl. I think Ill call the PJC Maintenance Department and see if they can come build me a larger counter with granite or marble tops instead of that tacky Formica, perhaps a closed-in shelving unit with pull out drawers and another cabinet in which to keep cleaning supplies, including a mop, broom, dust pan and a Hoover Floormate. Of course, since Im in a corner, there is room for a coffee bar complete with microwave and a small refrigerator. And if its designed properly, I could probably fit in one of those ice makers like I have here at home so I could enjoy my iced tea in the afternoons. You know, the one that makes the perfectly shaped cubes of ice, the little squares and not the big, honker ice cubes like the ones in our refrigerator/freezer. Huh-uh. The client chair with the hydraulic lift is cool; however, I need two of them. One for the client and one for ME. Maybe one that reclines that has vibrating cushions. Now, that would be ideal. And perhaps we could choose a trendy color of leather for the chairs other than that gauche black pleather. A small desk for my computer would be helpful, as well. That way, I could report to you all of my activities and be able to print color photos of my coiffural creations throughout each day! A cushy, soft memory foam mat would finish off the entire hairdo school experience. Be back later. Im going to design my space so I can turn it in tomorrow and perhaps they can get started on it this weekend.
