I guess the good news about the Republicans sweeping the elections is, they are beginning to show some diversity. And isnt that what weve been trying to show them? Perhaps we wont be so far apart in the ideas of what we value. Perhaps Congress will be able to get some important work done now that even Republicans have African American Congress women, gay senators, a raise in the minimum wage in red states, and will no longer spend all their time and energy trying to deny minorities the right to equality and fair pay for women. Believe it or not, I think this may be a good thing. The bad news is, now Im sure Republicans will take all the credit for the great state the country is in right now, before they gained this power, and will still refuse to give props to this administration, whose policies were what actually turned the country around. But at least a few things are changing for the better. Soon gay marriage will be recognized nationally, and people who work full time jobs will make a little more money in some states because of the raise in minimum wage. Progress. :)
