I had a Donkey Kong Country 3 here at the shop that wasnt saving its progress. As I was walking past the import case though, I had a weird idea... The RAM was bad on the old DKC3 cart as well as the battery. The RAM by itself would cost more than the price of the game after shipping, but I knew that all of the DK games used a similar board. I had an import Super Famicom copy of the original Super Donkey Kong. After swapping the ROMs to the Japanese board and replacing the battery, DKC3 saves just fine. Id rather save it than Super Donkey Kong because it seems a bit more rare. :)
