I had a client check in this week who wrote something that I always think to myself. She was considering not tracking her food intake accurately for the day because she had forgot her lunch at home. Instead of throwing her hard work out the window, she reminded herself of one important thing. what is the point of asking for your help if im not going to listen to you This statement is very profound to me. It couldnt be more true. If you are going to hire someone to coach, mentor or train you. You would think that you are ready to take their advice wholeheartedly and put 100% effort into what it is you would like to accomplish. Isnt that the point of hiring someone to coach you to your goals? You wouldnt pay to go to a 12 week football training camp and then dick around the whole time you were there. You would pay, go, absorb and do everything you could to leave a better athlete. The same should apply when hiring someone for your fitness goals. If youre making a commitment; commit! Learn all you can and apply it to your lifestyle as you see fit, but during that commitment phase, there should be no room for doubt left. You already decided financially that this is something you were wanting to do and I hope mentally were prepared for.
