I had a conversation with my son yesterday about a topic that most people do not know about. We had been watching a move called The forth Kind about a town called Gnome, in Alaska. There has been an alarming number of visits by the F.B.I. to this small town to investigate an alarmingly large number of strange occurrences including disappearances. We started discussing these disappearances and were curious how many people are simply vanishing off this planet, one way or another. The results of this very minor investigation may surprise you. In fact, it may scare the living shit out of many of you. crimelibrary/criminal_mind/forensics/americas_missing/2.html This was the numbers that we found, and these were only in the United States. Now, if the most secure, most watched, most paranoid country in the world, has this many people vanishing without a trace, every single day, and every single year, how many are really being taken? And what are these people being taken for? During 2013, 627,911 missing person records were entered into NCIC, a decrease of 5.1% from the 661,593 records entered in 2012. Missing Person records cleared or canceled during the same period totaled 630,990. Reasons for these removals include: a law enforcement agency located the subject, the individual returned home, or the record had to be removed by the entering agency due to a determination that the record is invalid. *This fulfills requirements as set forth in Public Law 101-647, 104 statute 4967, Crime Control Act of 1990 stating the Attorney General is to publish a statistical summary of reports of missing children. This act was modified April 7, 2003, by “Suzanne’s Law” that changed the age of mandatory missing person record entry from under 18 to under 21 years of age. [ref. 42 USC 5779(c)] This bears further investigation. My son may turn this into a thesis, however, at this point, a thesis on what, still remains to be determined.
