I had a disagreement with someone in an animal rights Facebook group who posted a link to the recent news story about Indias having decided to ban the importation of cosmetics tested on animals. The vegan guy whod posted the link called asserted that cosmetics in India would now be cruelty-free and called it a victory for animals. I asked him if he knew whether the importation of cosmetics containing animal ingredients would be banned too. He said that he didnt know and snapped that we cant expect everyone to go vegan overnight.
