I had a female client in her fifties doing a 1-leg RDL today, and she was shaking like crazy on her right leg but not too bad on her left. Shes had a couple of kids, (4 in total, 2 of which were twins), no history of pelvic floor issues, but definite core weakness. She asked what was going on. Weve only trained 2 sessions so shes not used to me yet ;-) I asked her to press her tongue into the roof of her mouth and do it again. Instant improvement and she looked like I could have taken a running start at her and not budged her she was so solid. The core doesnt stop at the bottom of the ribs. Interconnections can play a big role in distant tissues and the smallest things can have the biggest impacts. Keep an open mind and play with some variations and see what happens. You might be surprised at the results.
