I had a few events today. I officiated a new restaurant in Subang Parade and met the owner who is a young entrepreneur. Alex is 34 and has had seven business ventures to date. Failures after failures but he never gave up. He contemplated setting up overseas but realised that it is better to start on home turf and he reasoned that Malaysia has a lower entry barrier. Malaysia needs more people like him. Another more memorable event was in PJS 10 which was a karaoke Deepavali event. I was there on the dot at 7.30pm but soon realised that Malaysian timing requires me to be at least half an hour later. Nevertheless, I had wonderful company and food. PJS10 is a real mini Malaysia with all races present. Karaoke is a big deal with some participants bringing export back up singers (not from PJS10). Too bad I left early but I understand that YB Nik will close the event later. he
