I had a friend call me this morning ..... Lots of questions .... Q--- why in the world were you in Alturas, its in the middle of nowhere ? My response -- well, I was there because some River folks pastor there and asked me to come, and its what I do-- reach out to people throughout the states Q-- how long to drive there ? My response-- about 6 hours, but Des Nelson came with me, and we talked the whole time coming and going... That was a key reason for the trip Q-- so how long did you minister ? My response-- oh, about 6 hours over three days Q-- and what did they give you for a offering ? My response -- why do you ask Q-- because there are only two of you, Rich and Lindy, and hundreds of them-- and its about honor and being a good steward and....... My response --- I broke in....... ok, ok-- I was given $363.00 -- plus new friends and investing in this fellowship and the friendship of the Pastors Listen, this is a little beachhead -- and Des and I got to expand it and love on people .... Q ..... but that does not even cover your gas and motel-- am I right ? My response .... yes, but why do you--we-- deal with small Kingdom opportunities in America so differently from missions work overseas? Buddy, a larger church needs to take this work under its wings and help and support it until it can fly on its own. All kinds of Christians love going overseas -- praise God, but what about driving to a small town, or Indian reservation or-- whatever, and helping there This was a real and honest conversation -- look around , see what is within 6 hours of you-- make a difference, volunteer to help, send your youth, add them to monthly missions support --- call and visit either of the Pastors, both him and her. Lets not loose America -- there are leaders and fellowships close to you that are River-- Kingdom churches that need help.. Today ! Papa Rich Life is an adventure. People are a blessing. God is amazing. Were winning !!
