I had a gentleman call me from out of state. He was really concerned about his brother who lives here in Ottumwa. His brother does not work, gets foodstamps and is waiting for disability. He has to go to Iowa City periodically for doctor appointments but does not have the money to get there… so he keeps canceling. He is behind on utilities and is at the end of his ropes. He is too proud to ask for help. His brother that called me is desperate. He himself is unemployed and trying to make… otherwise he would help. Does anyone know of a bus that goes to Iowa City…. or do any of you have any ideas… how we could possibly help this gentleman. His brother is genuinely concerned and I dont know what to tell him. im at lost on this one. I told the gentleman that his brother has to want to help himself… that he needs to try. Any ideas on this one? -MM
