I had a good day today. People have been bringing their children to visit. Little kids look so sweet in Halloween costumes. I also appreciate folks that shared Halloween photos (shout out to Matthew DiPasquale). We had another great musician play for us today. His Mom is a patient here & hes kind enough to donate his time. He used to sing professionally. His music encouraged a reclusive patient to come out of her room & join us. That was the best part of today. It is so hard to keep an optimistic outlook when youre confined. I thank God for people that take a few seconds to let us know were still remembered, loved & appreciated. The truth is that most people will age. You may get hit with a major illness shuts you off from a large part of your life. Then youll need sometime to be generous with their time & spirit to make your life a little less lonely. I pray someone cares for you EXACTLY as you care for the shut-ins that love you.
