I had a great ride tonight, Gater Belt, Ridge Top, Outback. However I am really concerned about the widening of the trails. I understand the heavy traffic flow on the trails close to the trail head causes widening. But who the heck is making all these cheat lines on Outback. How can it be so wide so early in the season. . So many areas where the trail is 6-10 feet wide with 4 different options to climb. Why does someone go out on the most technical trail to not ride the trail and make short cuts all over the place? Do you think the trail suddenly ended at the rock and you were left with no option but to create a way around? We are missing two of out best cheat line closers Scott Forsyth and Mario Theoret and the trails a being dumbed down quickly. The new lines are on dirt and are worn in very quickly and even when you know where the trail really goes, you end up following the dirt line. Do worry about getting the new bridges into Outback, if thing keep progressing like this, you be able to drive a truck in there. If you see a new line crop up, try to take 5 minutes and fill it in with rocks and tree branches and make it very visible that the trail goes straight up the rock. Sad really all the hard work that goes into creating single track trails and the widening is happening so fast we cant keep up with it. Post up if you can help fill in some of the cheat lines on Outback.
