I had a great time again talking with people in district 5 again tonight. I got a chance to see a mailer and defend myself from my opponent. The recipients of the mailer agreed, print the facts and were somewhat offended about the high density housing comments. Some of them live by him and consider the neighborhood as high density. I guess if you are an attorney, and you don’t show up to the city Council Meetings, Maybe you go off hear say and just quote anything you want. The competitor quotes me in a recent mailer saying “(I) had no idea what (high density zoning) would do” – Larry Short at the City Council Meeting. July 16, 2013 City Council Meeting July 16, 2013 Page 14 South Jordan City Meeting approved Minutes say City Council Meeting July 16, 2013 Page 14 Council Member Short said he knows a lot of people here tonight. When the general plan was approved, they had no idea what the VMU would do and that is why they did not change the zoning. He said he feels the VMU is better in larger areas. The quote looks a little different to me. What do you think?
