I had a hard drive failure. Its an external drive, the only thing I keep on it is my music collection (songs+videos). What a pain. I think its a heads failure, which will cost $2000 to get data retrieval. Or, I can just forget I ever had that drive, and start ripping CDs to file from scratch, losing the online purchases and (legal) downloads. Yeah sure, I could probably dl them again, if I remember what I had, and where it came from. Or, I can try to download everything that is currently on my ipod. Its short about 350 songs, of which Ill never know what they were, but I get to keep the hard to find songs and vids, esp. my online purchases. But I have to convert them from ipod format to PC format, with full name changes for files and folders.... What would you do?
