I had a little lesson in Big Pharm and Corporations today. Went to pick up a prescription at Walmart...it wasnt ready because it was flag due to NO insurance, they have known for 6 months that we do not have insurance(Thanks to a waiting period required by my husbands new employer). So I am irritated because I live in the middle of nowhere and it takes me 30 minutes just to pick up prescripts. They promise that the prescrip will be ready in 10 minutes. I back to pick it up and they tell me it will cost $56, when it normally costs me $38. I question the price and the pharm tech looks up what I paid last month. Apparently, Corporate told them to fill it in a Brown Prescrip bottle instead of the plastic sleeves like they had been doing. I question this! I was told because of different manufactures they charge more if its filled in a Brown plastic bottle then a plastic sleeve. Sorry Walmart and Big Pharm, I am not paying $20 more for packaging just because I have no insurance. I apologize to the Pharm Tech for getting irritated with her, bit everytime I go in there, there is an issue and these are prescripts that they have been filling for years. Time to find a new pharmacy! Walmart is on my crap list!
