I had a new student this evening who was really nervous about singing for me. She told me to get earplugs ready, because she is really bad. Truth is...her first few notes were a bit rough but once she got going she actually sounded good! Although some people may have a natural singing gift,singing is a skill. It can be learned and is not just reserved for the "gifted few". In fact many of the greatest singers in the world did not show an amazing gifting for singing when they started, they just worked on their voice harder and smarter than others.
