I had a really crappy week or two I knew I wasnt in the right headspace & it was starting to effect my prep. Despite tightening up my food & adding more cardio my weight went up & I knew stress was to blame, so heres how I fixed it; - decided last minute to come down to Christchurch for a long weekend - caught up with positive industry ppl, clients, friends & focused on all the good things - back to basics, enjoying little things in life like animals which ways perk me up! - trained around good no bullshit positive ppl in my fav gym, lots of laughs & some good benching & squatting :) - ate MORE, more fat especially & havent weighed any food while here - did LESS cardio none on fri & just 30 min hiit boxing & plyo yesterday & today - put 25g dark choc BACK in daily pre training - laughed, relaxed & looked into exciting ideas for my trip after the show - got excited about my new Flexiwear suit :) - spent time planning my next Chch work trip coming up.... Excited for that! - reminded myself why I do what I do. I dont compete (anymore) with the sole focus / hope of placing higher; the real & most important reason I compete is because I LOVE ALL OF IT. Lifestyle, training like a little beast, traveling, meeting ppl, being on stage, pushing myself, knowing how resilient I have become, PASSION. This is what matters to me, health matters & feeling happy, fulfilled & enjoying life. Look better for the above after a few days. Since loosing a close friend late last year my life views have changed significantly, while it was a horrible experience I am grateful for the lessons it taught me & the gift of letting go of stuff that really doesnt matter. I miss him & think if him often & what life advice he would me giving me because he was my rock during many hard times. Thank you Craig for fighting such a courageous battle & in the process teaching me the REAL value of life, love you ❤️ x
