I had a really great night shooting the Just Fair Trade Fashion show. This year, they have been supporting the victims of the Rana Plaza Clothing Factory, which collapsed due to the amount of people and equipment that was packed into a building that was extended skyward illegally and not fit for purpose. Cracks appeared in the walls and the factory was evacuated. the following morning, workers were forced to re-enter the building to continue with there work. By 9am the building collapsed, killing over 1000 people. Very little has been done for the victims and Just has worked tirelessly on raising awareness for this cause through their Fair trade Fashion Show this evening, which featured fantastic clothes, beautiful models and fantastic support from local school children. It really brought home the realities of the connection between what we wear and where it came from and truly inspired everyone who attended. £1 of every ticket is to be donated to the cause and endless amounts of awareness was raised last night. Really well done to everyone involved.
