I had a similar situation with the police in Nassau County NY, when my autistic daughter rolled her car after a driver cut her off. When I rolled up and identified myself, my input about her condition was welcomed by the officers and EMTs at the scene. No threats, no tasing, no arrest, just concern about the people involved in the crash and how they could best attend to their needs. The Sheriff in Marion County has to train his deputies to respect the rights of the people they serve and get rid of those who wont comply. There are less than 1% of the population in prison, because they dont follow the law. The other 99% deserve to be treated with dignity. These cops acted like its the other way around.
